Lesson 01.3 · Phase 01 Start here

Reading the answer.

01 · The problem

A fluent answer can still miss the job. If you only feel whether it “sounds right,” you will keep what is pretty and lose what you asked for.

02 · The prompt

After you have an answer, ask the agent to score it against your brief. You are practising the read, not asking it to grade itself as truth.

A checklist, not a vibe

Here is my brief: a friendly editor; a ten-year-old; under 20 words.
Here is the answer: “Plants use sunlight to make sugar they can store and use later.”
List, in three bullets, whether it met the role, the reader, and the length. Do not rewrite it unless something failed.
03 · Try it

Use this on the answer from the last lesson, or on any short reply you have nearby.

Role: the voice is plain, like an editor talking to a child. Reader: a ten-year-old can follow it. Length: twelve words — under the limit. Nothing failed. Keep it.

04 · What you made

A habit: match the answer to the brief before you ask for more. Fluency is not the test.
